<p>CONTROVERSIAL plans for a solar farm in Newport were yesterday approved despite continued opposition from residents. Silicon Vineyard Limited won permission to build 10,560 solar photovoltaic energy panels on a 5.6 hectare field at Hazel Farm, Langstone.</p>
